MATERIALS EXPLORATION

Description. This course identifies alternative easily accessible materials and uses these materilas for producing various craft objects. The core idea is to encourage creativity in the participants simulating an environment ideal for "coming-out-of-the-box" solutions to creative problems. At the same time the students become familiar with materials use and the dynamics between drawing and prototype production.

Objectives.
1) To acquaint the participant with various materials which are locally available
2) To demonstrate how creative expression may be applied within the limits of simple materials, equipment and processes
3) To make participants more aware of their own potential to exceed creative limitations and encounter "out of the box" realms of imagination and thinking
4) To acquiant the participant with the dynamics between drawing and prototype production

Output. Various drawings, exercises, prototype production
