WORK ETHICS
Rather than endlessly redesigning jobs and structures, it is time to
redefine and categorize the value of work, knowledge and learning in a new
age. A sound redefinition of work ethics filters out the bureaucratic, mechanistic
tasks that went with industrial age work organization and structure. It then
becomes practical to monitor and manage the abandonment or outsourcing of
non-core work and the progressive development and redeployment of people to
the work that must be done to secure the future of the business and those
who work in it.
Work values are ideas and attitudes that are so personally important that
people structure their lives around them. This course provides an opportunity
for participants to articulate their own work ethics.
