COACHING AND MENTORING FOR OUTSTANDING JOB PERFORMANCE

Description. Today's organizations feature fewer management layers and emphasize individual responsibility. Successful delegation and empowerment relies on effective coaching. This Coaching & Mentoring training course focuses on the methods by which managers develop the performance of individuals in their team. This coaching training course looks at two main types of coaching, providing opportunities for managers to apply these skills.

Objectives. At the end of the 24-hr seminar/workshop, the participants be able to:
   * Recognize the benefits of employing appropriate coaching techniques
      for performance improvement;
   * Discover techniques on how to resolve problems that interfere with
      job performance;
   * Apply the step-by-step approach needed to be an effective coach
      and mentor; and
   * Discover techniques on how to support staff and team to become

Methodology. A combination of lecture-discussion, individual presentation, group presentation, self-assessment, critiquing, role playing and demonstration.
