PRESENTATIONS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Description. Effective presentations entail not only selecting the appropriate technology but organizing content, understanding your audience and the nature of your presentation, design and method of presenting.

This three-day course is designed to assist participants on how to plan, structure, and create visually appealing presentation with the use of multimedia tools and technology.

Objectives. At the end of the training, the participants will be able to:
  - Define and plan a presentation;
  - Structure and prepare a presentation by organizing key points
     into a coherent story for maximum impact;
  - Utilize design concepts to create visually appealing presentation;
  - Present using an effective blend of multimedia tools and technology.

Methodology. The seminar-workshop will make use of substantial input sessions, presentations, discussions, hands-on and group work. Participants will work together in teams to develop and deliver short Powerpoint presentations to apply the techniques learned, while receiving structured feedback from peers and the resource person.

Requisite. No special background is required for this course. However, it is important to have an open mind to learn and unlearn new things. The technical person must have the basic knowledge of Powerpoint since this will be used as a delivery medium during the course.

Who should attend. This course is designed for individuals who prepare and deliver presentations that inform, persuade and inspire audience to action. It is advisable, however, to send at least two persons - the presentor and the technical person who will develop the presentation.
