ROBUST DESIGN USING TAGUCHI METHODS (Taguchi Methods of Quality Engineering)

Description. Dr Taguchi's approach to Robust Design provides a structured methodology which allows the development of robust products and processes. Robustness, in this context, means ensuring that products and processes are designed to be able to deliver consistent functionality over the widest range of operating conditions.

Attendees of this course will leave with the ability to start applying these techniques to their own products and processes.

Objectives. At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
   - introduce the Taguchi design improvement technique;
   - gain hands-on application experience to design robust products and
     processes;
   - solve production problems by reducing performance variations;
   - prepare attendees for immediate performance improvement and
     variation reduction applications;
   - plan and lay out experiments as well as interpret and analyze their results.

Methodology. Training program will be conducted with a combination of presentations, group discussions and exercises, resulting in highly interactive sessions.
