The Professional Regulation
Commission (PRC) announces that 236 applicants were approved
for registration without examination as Geodetic Engineers
per Board Resolution No. 06, Series of 2005 which the Commission
approved on June 21, 2005 in accordance with Sec. 23 (b) Art.
V of R. A. No. 8560, known as the “Philippine Geodetic Engineering
Act of 1998”, as amended by R. A. No. 9200.
Registration for the issuance of Certificates of Registration
and Professional Identification Card will start on June 27,
2005 but not later than July 18, 2005. Those who will register
are required to bring the following: Duly accomplished Oath
Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate
(Cedula); 2 pieces passport size pictures (colored with white
background and complete nametag); 1 piece 1 x 1 picture (colored
with white background and complete nametag; 2 sets of metered
documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and
profession; and to pay the following: Examination Fee of P900.00;
Initial Registration Fee of P600.00; and Annual Registration
Fee of P450.00 for 2005 - 2008. and to personally register
and sign the Roster of Geodetic Engineers.
The oathtaking of this fourth batch of registrants as well
as some of those in the previous batches who have not taken
their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board of
Geodetic Engineering on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 starting at
1:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Manila Hotel, Rizal Park,
Manila. Oathtaking fee is P900.00 per person.
Induction of new members of the Geodetic Engineers of the
Philippines, Inc. (GEP), the one and only integrated and accredited
organization of Geodetic Engineers, shall follow after the
oathtaking. New GEP members are required to pay P250.00 as
Membership fee for all Regional Divisions (except GEP-NCR,
which is (P1,000.00) and P1,000. 00 as Annual Dues.
