Advanced and On-the-Job/Production Related Multimedia Training Project

Methodology
     The project involved the recruitment, screening and training of manpower in order to create a critical mass of multimedia production manpower.

Recruitment

     Recruitment for potential trainees was done through announcements in local dailies, the broadcast and TV media as well through interpersonal means such as: referrals and active search. These efforts resulted to a total of 300 recruits.

Screening

      Those who met the initial requirements were interviewed and screened by a team composed of JAMP, COSPO and DOST 7. Of the 300 recruits, 106 passed the screening process. Those who did not passed were advised to take the basic course of multimedia.

Training

     The training involved a 3-month course consisting of lectures, hands-on and actual production experience. The trainees were divided into two groups based on their skills -- one group for the artists or creators and the second group for the programmers.
     Each trainee was made to design and implement at multimedia project which utilized as many of the different components of multimedia production. The culmination of the training was the presentation of completed project. The trainers evaluated each project.
